Colours can be blended when dry , with an overlapping of colours. Once moistened, the watercolour tone achieved corresponds to that blend created by the dry colours. In order to obtain a perfect watercolour result , a damp brush is applied to the strokes previously made by a pencil for this task. The effect on the paper has the same features as a watercolour: transparency, wash effects and shade overlays. The watercolour pencils can be combined with watercolours in bottles or tubes.
